In 1987, a group of tractor enthusiasts decided they wanted to organise events for like-minded individuals, and so the Cornish Tractor Club was born. The Club has organised many rallies, Working Weekends and Road Runs since that date, and 2013 saw the Cornish Tractor Club celebrate its quarter-centenary.
This year on Sunday the 17th of April, the Club embarks on its Road Run. The run will depart from the Chacewater branch of Truro Tractors where participants are advised to meet at 10am for a 10.30am start. The planned route includes a stop at the Inn For All Seasons for lunch.
The Road Run will be raising money for the charity FLEET – Frontline Emergency Equipment Trust. Established in 1990, FLEET supports all of the emergency services across the county by raising funds to provide life-saving equipment as well as public access defibrillators. In 2015, the Cornish Tractor Club raise £2,000 for FLEET, and they are hoping to do even better this year.
